New XL version of the popular Piezo Contact Microphone!

Generally speaking a larger Piezo element will have a higher signal output level.

Contact microphones allow you to pick up vibrations and convert them into sounds! Capture a whole world of AMSR sounds that would otherwise go unheard!

These handy XL Piezo contact microphones are metal tin that house a high quality 35mm Piezo wired to a robust high quality 3.5mm Mono Jack socket.

The disadvantage of most contact mics on the market is that the fixed cable is prone to damage but thankfully with our design you can swap the cable! This also makes it much easier to use as you can choose a suitable length of cable to suit each situation.

The case is thin and flat to allow for good contact with other surfaces for efficient transfer of sound waves to the Piezo element. To permanently fix it to materials use double sided tape.

For best results use a shielded cable and keep away from interference sources like mobile phones and motors.

Piezo microphones work best when used with a piezo pre-amplifier or a high impedance (high Z) input on a mixer or recording device!

Things to try!
