Description

The LOFI Tape sampler MIC expander adds the ability to quickly record your voice or acoustic instruments straight to your Tape sampler module. The expander comes with its own panel mounted microphone or can also be used with a wired lapel mic which is included.

The expander is powered from the tape sampler which provides +5V to power the MIC used. The output of the expander is connected to the rear of the tape sampler module using jumper wires provided.

The mic expander has two switches, the first turns it on/off and the second selects between the panel microphone and the jack for wired microphone.

As well as helping to record sample the expander provides new possibilities when the tape sampler is in filter mode. Using a small monitor speaker a whole world of possibilities to experiment with and control real world feedback are opened up.

The expander is designed to be used with lapel and condenser microphone such as this lapel MIC readily found on Ebay.

The expander is only compatible with the V4 LO-FI tape sampler and above.
